Jesuit Colleagues

The work that is done in the name of the Society of Jesus in our province, and the territories in which our men serve, would not be possible today were it not for our dedicated lay colleagues.

The Province seeks to provide opportunites for education and training for our lay colleagues that will help them to grow in the spirituality of our founder, St. Ignatius of Loyola (Ignatian spirituality). For those working with us in our schools, we also provide education and training in the principles that underlie education in schools sponsored by the Society of Jesus (Ignatian pedagogy). These opportunities are never one-sided. While the Society has much to share with our colleagues from the wealth of our history and tradition, our lay colleagues return to us the gift of their lived experience as persons of faith seeking to give of themselves in service to others. Together we learn what we must do to live the insights of St. Ignatius of Loyola, and of the Society of Jesus as found in the letters of our Superior Generals and in the documents of our General Congregations.
