MISSION STATEMENT
The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) provides men and women age 50 and over the opportunity to serve the needs of people who are poor, to work for a more just society, and to grow deeper in Christian faith by reflecting and praying in the Ignatian tradition.
[Ignatian Volunteer Corps began as the Ignatian Lay Volunteer Corps and changed its name at the beginning of 2006].

Volunteers commit to the equivalent of 2 days of direct service to the materially poor, to meet monthly with other volunteers to reflect on their experience, and to participate in two annual retreats.

If you are interested in learning more about opportunities with the Ignatian Volunteer Corps in the metro-New York area (northern New Jersey, New York City and Long Island), please contact Liz McMahon.
