Canisius Men and Women for Others
Eight alums from Canisius College will serve as members of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) after graduation. Eight more students have chosen to work in other service organizations including AmeriCorps, Magis Catholic Teachers Corps and others. Click here to read more.

2013 Jesuit Ordiantions
Seven Jesuits from the Maryland, New England and New York Provinces were ordained June 8, 2013 at Fordham University Church by Bishop Thomas Donato, D.D., Auxiliary Bishop of Newark.
The newly ordained are: Bill Noe, SJ, Bret Stockdale, SJ, Steve Surovick, SJ, Jim Donovan, SJ, Peter Folan, SJ, Mike Rogers, SJ, and Michael Magree, SJ. Click here to view a slideshow of the day.

Centro Faith & Justice Award Ceremony
On May 30, the Centro Altagracia de Fe y Justicia held the First Annual Faith and Justice Award Ceremony in honor of the legacy of Fr. Jeff Chojnacki, SJ. Mr. Mario Paredes the Presidential Liaison to the United Nations and Roman Catholic Ministries of the American Bible Society was the recipient of the award. Before joining the American Bible Society, Mr. Paredes served as the National Director of the U.S. Hispanic Market for the Multicultural & Diversified Business Development Group for Merrill Lynch. Prior to working for Merrill, Mr. Paredes, founded and directed the Northeast Hispanic Catholic Center for 25 years.
